LAMPSHADE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

· Lampshades are made from untreated and unlined card and have a warm glow when lit.. They are NOT waterproof and should be dusted with a clean dry cloth. Please do not expose them to the elements. Please use an appropriate bulb – older generation bulbs can lead to overheating and are unsuitable for use with my lampshades. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the lampshade is fit for purpose for the end use intended.

· Sarah Blomfield Studios Ltd cannot advise on the best size of shade for your lamp - please make sure you know the correct dimensions and fitting before ordering. Refunds will not be given if the shades do not fit your lamp. The required size, motif and fitting will be detailed on the invoice - it is your responsibility to please double check this carefully for any mistakes. Measurements specified should be base diameter x top diameter x slope (actual measurement of the side of the shade) in inches. I cannot accept returns or exchanges unless the product is a: damaged in transit before you receive them or b: if the product is faulty. I do not take responsibility for goods that have been damaged after delivery as a result of poor storage or handling. You must check the lampshades carefully before installation and inform me within 24 hours if you believe the item is faulty and send photographic evidence.

· All lampshades supplied are handmade, and therefore dimensions provided are approximate, and cannot be guaranteed.

· Each design will vary as all lampshades are hand painted and therefore there may be imperfections. The lampshades are not lined in order to offer more light and this means that brushmarks will be visible when the lamp is lit. The light will shine through the card and due to the nature of the card will have a warm glow.

· Lampshade supply is subject to my lampshade manufacturer’s availability and in the unlikely event that I cannot obtain the lampshades I reserve the right to cancel the order.

· All lampshades are made to order and therefore payment must be made to the full value of the order before the order can be produced. Payment can be made by bank transfer – all details will be on the invoice. Payment must be made in Pounds Sterling.

· Sarah Blomfield Studio Ltd reserves the right to reproduce custom designs for multiple clients, therefore if I have designed a lampshade for you I might paint the same design for another client in the future. I reserve the right to use images of all artwork and lampshades for promotional purposes on social media.

· Please note - I cannot ship shades to the US if they have a base or height greater than 15”. If you would like a shade larger than this you are welcome to organise your own shipping and crate, please contact me to discuss.

· Images of the finished work will be emailed to the client for approval prior to being sent out.

· All completed work will require the clients written satisfaction and acceptance prior to dispatch.

· All prices are EXCLUSIVE of any international import tax, customs charges or unforeseeable delivery costs. Please check with your country’s customs office before ordering as I cannot predict the amount you may be charged.

· All commissions are sent to the client via Royal Mail Special Delivery in the UK and DHL internationally, fully insured. Sarah Blomfield Studio is not responsible for any International duties and taxes. These will be the sole responsibility of the client. Sarah Blomfield Studio is not liable for any delays or failures of delivery if there is no one to receive the shipment. Delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

· I do not accept returns and therefore cannot accept any charges incurred if you return the item. For example, customs duties or return shipping costs are not the responsibility of Sarah Blomfield Studio. Please contact me in advance should you have any issues. Any unauthorised returns will raise further additional costs to the client.

· Where items have been damaged due to third party mishandling, please contact me as soon as possible with photographic proof.

I reserve the right to use images of all artwork and lampshades for promotional purposes on social media. Please note that all copyright remains with Sarah Blomfield Studio and images may be reproduced by Sarah Blomfield Studio.

Please note that clients should fully satisfy themselves that all details relating to an order are correct including dimensions, design, measurements and delivery. Sarah Blomfield Studio is not responsible for any implications resulting from incorrect aspects and details of your order.

BEFORE PLACING ANY ORDERS, ALL CLIENTS ARE ADVISED TO FULLY ACQUAINT THEMSELVES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. ANY QUERIES SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO SARAH BLOMFIELD STUDIO LIMITED AT THE OUTSET AND BEFORE ORDERS ARE PLACED.
